RUNR Films comes from Rúnar, a Nordic word for a "warrior of the runes", a secret messenger who moves through unseen spaces to retrieve what's buried and carry it into the light. It reflects the kind of work we've always been drawn to: documentary, narrative, and commercial films that dig beneath the surface to reveal stories of overcoming and resilience. Stories about people who push through resistance because something demands to be brought forward. The new name better captures what we do and where we're headed.
